Annual Budgets of two barangays ok’d
On Monday’s regular session presided over by Presiding Officer Pro-Tempore Councilor Romeo V. Calizo, the 20th City Council adopted separate resolutions returning as operative to two barangays their respective Annual Budgets for CY 2023.
Out from its estimated income of P23,633,083, Barangay Agusan has allocated P3,705,017 (20% development fund) for the installation and maintenance of street lighting system; construction of local roads from Zone 1 to 7, drainage system and foot bridge in Zone 4 and BDRRMC quarter and evacuation center Phase 3 (completion); rehabilitation of multi-purpose hall, fabrication of perimeter fence for the multi-purpose hall; declogging of canals and drainage system from Zone 1 to 7 and for the purchase of one (1) unit garbage truck.
Meanwhile, Barangay Bugo has reserved P5,870,754 (20% development fund) for the rehabilitation/improvement of its Brgy. Health Center; installation and maintenance of street lighting system; rehabilitation of MP building, mini gym, local roads and day care centers, among others.
This shall be taken from its estimated income of P35,084,467. The rest of the appropriations were intended to pay for personal services, non-office expenditures, capital outlay, SK Fund allocation and Maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE). The legislations were both reviewed and endorsed by the committees on barangay affairs, on finance, budget and appropriations and on laws and rules respectively chaired by Councilors Yan Lam S. Lim and Edgar S. Cabanlas.
