Rodriguez continues maintenance meds distribution to barangays

To continue bringing essential health support closer to residents, Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez turned over maintenance medicines to Barangays 27, 24, and 12.

The initiative aims to provide additional assistance to residents who regularly need medication for their health conditions, particularly those who may struggle to secure their maintenance medicines consistently.

Among the medicines turned over were Metformin 500 mg, Amlodipine 5 mg, Losartan 50 mg, and Atorvastatin 20 mg, which are commonly prescribed for conditions requiring long-term medication.

The medicines were received by Brgy. 25 Punong Barangay Ricardo Mabulay, Brgy. 24 Punong Barangay  Placido Floirendo, and Brgy. 12 Punong Barangay Felipe Amparo, together with members of their barangay councils, who expressed their appreciation for the assistance.

As chairperson of the committee on social services, Rodriguez believes that supporting the health and well-being of communities begins with making essential services and resources more accessible at the barangay level.

“Even in small ways, we can strengthen our support for the health and well-being of our communities.” Rodriguez said. (JDO/SP)
