Dahino acts on payment of just compensation to lot owners

THE City Council committee on finance, budget and appropriations chaired by Councilor Edna M. Dahino met last Wednesday and took up the request for the full payment of just compensation including registration and documentation expenses of lots with a total land area of 70,191 square meters, more or less for resettlement site/land banking purposes located in Barangay San Simon in the total amount of P17 million.

The Power learned that the owners agreed to sell the properties at P230 per square meter to the city government.

Based on the appraisal report of the City Appraisal Committee, the derivation or source of the appraised value was from the average value between the two sales data, the present value of the government project and the offer to sell.

Considering the location of the properties as to its actual size and shape, an ocular inspection was scheduled tentatively on Friday.

Likewise tackled during the meeting were the requests for payment of terminal leave pay to various city hall employees under the Office of the Building Official (OBO) and City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO) in the amount of P17,883.42 and P166,651.08, respectively.

These matters were referred to the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya for appropriate action. (SP/JAO)
