Pascual cmte to review joint venture tourism project in Bayabas

COUNCILOR Jay R. Pascual, chairman of the City Council committee on tourism, referred to the City Legal Office for review Resolution No. 26-11 Series of 2011 of the Barangay Council of Bayabas, authorizing the barangay chairman to enter into a Joint Venture Agreement with Sonrisa Vista Resort in the said barangay.

The Power learned that Sonrisa Vista Resort is developing an existing accretion area of approximately 3,760 square meters in Zone 6 in Barangay Bayabas, which aims to promote its positive image and tourism potentials.

In view with its desire to boost the tourism industry and create sources for additional revenues for barangay projects, the Barangay Council of Bayabas is requesting the City Council for approval and issuance of “No Objection Clearance” on the proposed joint venture agreement between the barangay and Sonrisa Vista Resort for the future development of the area and continued use of the foreshore lot where the resort is located.
