SP acts on Rotary Youth resolutions

CONCERNS of the Rotary Youth City Council Batch 2017 are being acted upon by the 18th City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy.

During the regular session yesterday presided over by Councilor Zaldy Ocon, legislators adopted a resolution endorsing to government agencies and officials and to concerned City Council standing committees the resolutions adopted by the youth leaders for favorable consideration and appropriate action.

It may be recalled that under the Rotary Youth Program, students from different public and private schools sat as counterparts of department heads and officials for a week-long exposure at City Hall.

Legislators adopted a corollary resolution expressing the city government’s appreciation to the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro for hosting the Rotary Week Program.

The resolution was filed by Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya, chair of the committee on laws and rules.
