The City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy on Monday approved the Supplemental Annual Investment Program (AIP) of the city for calendar year 2017 covering programs, projects and activities under the Economic Development Sector Services.

The supplemental AIP was endorsed by the City Development Council (CDC) in its Resolution No. 03-03-2017.

The plan includes the construction of a three-storey building for the City Jail-Male Dormitory and additional dormitory at the City Jail-Female and Juvenile Dormitory in Barangay Lumbia, Salintubig Programs and construction of water systems at F.S. Catanico, Tuburan and Taglimao.

The city is also set to implement the construction of a drug rehabilitation center (Phase II) and infirmary hospital in Barangays Tablon and Lumbia.

Also up for implementation is the construction of a Gender and Development Center (GAD), mini-market at the relocation site in Barangay Indahag and various road and bank protection projects.

The AIP was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on planning and development and on laws and rules both chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya.
