Socialized housing in Canitoan, San Simon in the offing

City residents may soon enjoy affordable housing, following the Committee on Subdivision’s endorsement of the Preliminary Subdivision Development Plan (PSDP) of the resettlement project in Barangays Canitoan and San Simon.

The 19.8 square-meter lot in Barangay Canitoan will generate 64 lots, while the 12.2 square-meter site in San Simon will have 91 lots.

Councilor Rodriguez appointed as co-chair of CCPC

Through Executive Order No. 0388, Series of 2025, issued by City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy reconstituting the City Council for the Protection of Children (CCPC), Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez has been appointed as Co-Chairperson.

Rodriguez, who also chairs the Committee on Social Services, reaffirmed his commitment to advancing child welfare programs and ensuring that every child in Cagayan de Oro grows in a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment.

The council seeks to strengthen programs and policies that uphold the rights, health, and overall welfare of children in the city.

This month of November, in line with the celebration of National Children’s Month, the CCPC has prepared various activities and events dedicated to children to raise awareness on the importance of their rights, protection, and well-being. (JDO/SP)

NAG-UNA sa gipahigayong inspeksyon niadtong Huwebes sa hapon sa Limketkai Mall parking space ang komite sa public utilities in Konsehal Eric Salcedo.  

Ang maong inspeksyon may kalabotan sa special report ni Konsehal Roger Abaday sa miaging sesyon sa konseho mahitungod sa giingong sulat nga nag-viral sa social media nga nagpaabot  sa  mulo ngadto sa kadagkoan sa establisamento tungod  sa giingong  limitado  nga parking space sa  ilang mga kliyente.

Gitumbok niini ang mga masitasan nga gipahimutang tunga sa dalan hinungdan nga gakapugngan ang mga kliyente sa pagparada sa ilang sakyanan ug mapugos nalang kini  nga moadto sa pay parking slots.

Gawas niini, buot usab nga masuta sa konsehal kon kini  mituman ba sa nahilatid sa building code.

Lakip sa nikuyog sa maong inpeksyon ang buhatan sa Building Official, City Legal Office ug Roads and Traffic Administration.

Ang komite gipaabot mopatawag og tigom aron hisgotan ang obserbasyon atol sa maong inspeksyon aron makaluwat kinig tukmang aksyon ug rekomendasyon. (JRG/SP)
