MAHIMO nang ipatuman sa Barangay San Simon ang ilang gihan-ay nga mga programa ug proyekto nga gipundohan karong tuiga.

Kini human ang Konseho sa Syudad atol sa sesyon niadtong Lunes nga gidumala ni Bise Mayor Bebot Rodriguez misagop sa resolusyon nga nag-uli sa ordinansa sa barangay nga may kalabotan sa ilang 2026 Annual Budget nga adunay gibanabanang kinitaan ug  galastuhon balor ₱6,416,569.

Lakip sa gipundohan mao ang 20% Development Fund balor  ₱888,458.00; samtang ₱641,657.00 usab ang gigahin alang sa pagpatuman sa mga programa sa Sangguniang Kabataan; ₱320,828.00 alang sa Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund; ₱15mil sa programa alang sa Senior Citizen ug PWDs; ₱150,000.00 ang gigahin alang sa rehabilitasyon sa ilang water supply system ug uban pang mga programa nga gilantawng maghatag kaarangan sa ilang serbisyo ngadto sa katawhan.

Ang 2026 annual budget sa Barangay San Simon miagi sa makuting pagtuon sa mga komite sa konseho ug nasuta nga nahiuyon sa balaod ug mahimo nang mapatuman.

Ang resolusyon nga gipalabang sa Konseho alang sa maong katuyoan gipaluyohan sa komite sa barangay affairs ni Konsehal Marlo Tabac ug sa komite sa pamalaod ni Konsehal Edgar Cabanlas. (MLR/SP) 

Proposed elevated walkway project to connect key commercial areas in CdeO

To provide safe and convenient pedestrian experience, the 21^st City Council enacted an ordinance institutionalizing the establishment of sustainable elevated walkway system in key commercial areas and public districts in the city.

The proposed measure seeks to improve connectivity, mitigate traffic congestion, and improve vehicular and pedestrian flow in high-density urban areas like that of CM Recto Avenue, Limketkai Center and Agora, Cogon, Divisoria, and other areas identified by the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO).

To carry out the plan, the city government will appropriate from its general fund, and thereafter have the CPDO allocate annual funding from its special program fund for its continuous operation.

It will also venture into public-private partnerships (PPP) agreements with interested mall owners, real estate developers, banks, and private corporations as well as create revenue-generating mechanisms by allowing advertisement panels and digital billboards, ATM installation by commercial banks, local vendor booths or MSME kiosks and naming rights or sponsorship sections.

The generated rental income, based on the provision of the said ordinance, will help in the maintenance and expansion of the walkway.

On September 10, last year, laws and rules committee chair Councilor Cabanlas sought for the creation of a technical working group (TWG) to fast-track the planning and implementation of the proposed ₱570-million elevated walkway in the city.

In the said meeting, he learned that the Department of Public Works and Highways, through the efforts of Congressman Rufus Rodriguez, already requested ₱100 million for inclusion in the 2026 national budget. But because it is on a cash-based budget system, the project will be implemented in phases.

Knowing this might delay the completion of the project, the majority floor leader proposed that the national and local governments coordinate and collaborate closely for the early completion of the project. (FDC/SP)

Data turnover agreement sa CBMS giuyonan sa Konseho

GIAPROBAHAN SA konseho sa dakbayan atol sa sesyon niadtong Lunes nga gidumala ni Bise Mayor Bebot Rodriguez ang ordinansa nga naghatag katungod ni Mayor Rolando Uy pagpirma sa Data Turnover Agreement tali sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) nga girepresentahan ni Undersecretary ug National Statistician and Civil Registrar General Claire Dennis Mapa.

Kini may kalabotan sa  ilang pagturn-over sa official 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) pinaagi sa electronic format.

Tumong  sa maong kasabotan nga masiguro ang tukma nga data sharing and management.

Sumala pa nga ang CBMS data magsilbi isip basihanan alang sa lokal nga pagplano, pagpanday sa mga palisiya ug pag-implementar sa mga programa labina ang pagtumbok sa profile sa kapobrehon ug paghikay sa mga social intervention. (JRG/SP)
