CITY government of Cagayan de Oro has reaffirmed its commitment to just compensation for property owner affected by the ongoing road development project.
This, after the 21st City Council during its regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance appropriating the amount for the purpose, whose property has been affected by the construction activities from Sitio Leropan to Tubalon in Barangay Pagalungan.
Furthermore, the legislative body authorized City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign the deed of absolute sale for the property involved.
The ordinance was sponsored by the committees on subdivision, housing development and landed estate and on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas. (JBD/SP)

MAHIMO nang ipatuman sa konseho sa Barangay 17 ang mga programa ug proyekto nga gipundohan sa ilang 2025 Annual Budget.
Kini human giuyonan sa konseho sa dakbayan sa sesyon niadtong Lunes nga gidumala Bise Mayor Bebot ang Resolution No. 020-2025 sa barangay nga may kalabotan sa ilang budget nga adunay gibanabanang kinitaan ug galastohon nga mokabat sa P5,501,785.
Tipik sa gihatagan sa prioridad sa maong budget ang paghinlo sa mga canal aron malikayan ang pagbaha, pag-instalar og dugang suga sa kadalanan ug paghatag sa programa sa panginabuhian sa ilang katawhan.
Migahin usab ang barangay og igong pundo alang sa ipahigayong trainings alang sa pagpangandam sa kalamidad ug pagpalit sa gikinahanglang calamity-related supplies ug igong pundo alang sa mga programa sa Sangguniang Kabataan sa ilang dapit.
Ang resolusyon nga gisagop sa konseho alang sa maong katuyoan gipaluyohan sa komite sa barangay affairs ni Marlo Tabac ug komite sa pamalaod ug reglamento ubos ni Konsehal Ed Cabanlas. (JRG/SP)

“As chair of the City Council committee on senior citizens, I value your continued contribution to developing competent and compassionate caregivers who serve our elderly community. May Intercare Training School continue its tradition of excellence and service in the years ahead.”
This was the message of Councilor Gilda O. Go during the 22nd Founding Anniversary of Intercare Training School, Inc., held on November 15, 2025, under the leadership of Administrator Atty. Jenny G. Uplinger.
In her message, Go also congratulated the institution for its long-standing commitment to quality vocational education.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to Intercare Training School, Inc. on its 22nd Founding Anniversary,” she said.
“For over two decades, the institution has remained steadfast in providing quality technical-vocational education that empowers learners and opens doors to meaningful employment,” Councilor Go added.
Intercare Training School is a TESDA-accredited institution offering Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs, including Caregiving NC II and Health Care Services NC II.
The school continues to play a vital role in providing accessible skills development opportunities for the city’s residents.
At present, 25 City Scholars are enrolled in the school’s Caregiving NC II program, supporting the city’s efforts to expand livelihood and employment opportunities for Kagay-anons. (JAO/SP/Photos from Councilor Go’s FB Page)
