Pag-regulate sa pagpahigayon og sabong gihingusgan

GIHINGUSGAN sa komite sa games and amusement ni Konsehal Roger Abaday ang striktong pag-regulate sa pagpahigayon sa sabong dinhi sa syudad subay sa gabayan nga gisita sa balaod.

Kini ang hiniusang lakang sa komite atol sa gihimong tigom niadtong milabayng adlaw diha sa hawanan sa Konseho.

Sumala ni Konsehal Abaday nga tun-an ug amendahan ang ubang probisyon sa ordinansa aron mosibo kini sa nasudnong balaod.

Lakip sa gisugyot niini mao ang paghatag sa tagdumala sa mga bulangan sa prankisa nga nahisubay sa gisita sa balaod ug ang matang sa ilang bayronon sa  bulohisan.

Pagrehabilitar sa multipurpose hall gipundohan sa Bulua

BALOR sa P3.5 milyones ang gialokar sa konseho sa Barangay Bulua alang sa pagrehabilitar sa ilang multipurpose barangay session hall.

Sa ilang regular sesyon niadtong Lunes nga gidumala ni Bise Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, ang Konseho sa SYUDAD hiniusang misagop sa resolusyon nga nag-uli sa ordinansa sa maong barangay nga may kalabotan sa ilang 2026 Annual Budget nga adunay bana-banang kinitaan ug galastohon  nga mokabat sa P54,626,269,00 alang sa hingpit nga implementasyon.

Gihatagan og prayoridad sa barangay nga mapatuman ning tuig  ang mga proyekto ug programang gipundohan ubos sa 20% Development Fund nga naglakip sa pagrehabilitar sa multipurpose barangay hall, rehabilitasyon sa retaining wall sa BUCAUPNAI ug sa health center, Day Care Center sa Zone 6 ug sa guard house ug  pagtukod sa drainage diha sa Upper Zone 8 ug Zone 9 ug sa perimeter fence sa Lower Zone 3.

Gigahin usab ang igong pundo alang pagpatuman sa mga lakang pagtubag sa panginahanglan sa katawhan panahon sa kalamidad, pagpalit og mga kahimanan nga magamit kon adunay kalamidad, programa alang sa kabatan-onan ug uban pang mga programa nga gilantawng maghatag og dugang kaarangan sa kinabuhi sa katawhan sa dapit.

Gaane urges parents to immunize children vs measles-rubella

City Councilor Paolo Nicolo Gaane is calling on parents to ensure their children are immunized against measles-rubella as part of the city’s public health initiative.

The city government through the City Health Office will conduct a city-wide Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA), which will run from January 19 to February 13, for children ages six months to four years and 11 months old.

The Measles-Rubella vaccine is an essential tool in preventing outbreaks of these highly contagious diseases, which can lead to severe complications, including pneumonia and encephalitis.

The vaccination program will be available free at designated barangay health centers across the city, making access to healthcare service convenient to parents.

Councilor Gaane, chair of the City Council committee on health, encourages families to take advantage of this opportunity by scheduling appointment and ensuring their children are up-to-date on vaccinations.

“Immunization is one of the most effective ways to protect our children from serious illnesses. By vaccinating our kids, we not only protect them but also our entire community,” said Councilor Gaane.

Through this, the 21^st City Council headed by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez passed a resolution supporting the conduct of MR-SIA and vitamin A supplementation for year 2026, pursuant to the advisory of DOH-Center for Health Development Northern Mindanao and the memorandum of Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

“If we act together and act now, we can close immunity gaps, prevent outbreaks, and ensure that no child in Cagayan de Oro suffers from disease that is fully preventable, let’s get our children be vaccinated as soon as possible,” Councilor Gaane concluded.  (JBD/SP)
