SP backs just compensation for lot owners affected by Brgy Kauswagan road project

Lot owners whose properties were affected by a road project in Barangay Kauswagan are set to receive just compensation following the enactment of an ordinance by the 21st City Council.

The Gavel learned that the property was affected by the existing 16.00-meter-wide Don Rodulfo N. Pelaez Boulevard.

With this, the legislative body authorized City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign the corresponding deed of absolute sale, formalizing the transfer of ownership of the affected property to the city government.

The ordinance was sponsored by the committees on subdivision and landed estate, on finance, budget and appropriation, and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Edgar S. Cabanlas and Yan Lam S. Lim, respectively. (JBD/SP)
