SP accredits Citizen Crime Watch-CDO

The 20th City Council, in its regular session Monday, accredits the Citizen Crime Watch-Cagayan de Oro City Chapter for membership in the local special bodies and in the Committee on People’s Organization of the City Development Council (CDC).

Citizen Crime Watch is a non-profit and non-sectarian organization of volunteer citizens whose mission is to help the government in its fight against poverty, crime, graft and corruption, and providing basic services to the community.

It also aims to extend assistance to the Philippine National Police (PNP) and other law enforcement agencies in their drive against criminalities.

The legislation was sponsored by the City Council Committees on Planning, Research and Innovation and People’s Organization Accreditation, and on Laws and Rules, respectively chaired by Councilors Ian Mark Q. Nacaya and Edgar S. Cabanlas.
