Rodriguez takes part in KUMBIRA 2026 kickoff
Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez joined the opening of KUMBIRA 2026 on October 14 at The Atrium, Limketkai Mall, celebrating three decades of culinary excellence under the theme “Three Decades, One Culinary Legacy.”
This year’s KUMBIRA pays tribute to its founding members, partners, sponsors, and past winners whose contributions have helped establish the event as a celebrated platform for culinary talent and innovation.
The celebration also highlights the role of the culinary and hospitality sectors in nurturing local talent, creating opportunities, and strengthening the city’s food culture.
Also present at the opening were Vice Mayor Jocelyn “Bebot” Rodriguez, ABAMIN Party-list Representative Maxie Rodriguez, and Ms. Jing Rodriguez, along with members of the culinary and hospitality community.
Organized by the Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association (COHARA), the three-day event runs until October 16. Councilor Rodriguez is also set to serve as one of the judges on October 15, as participating chefs showcase their skills, creativity, and culinary expertise. (JDO/SP)
