Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez supported and participated in the second module of the mental health training and orientation for barangay mental health focal persons organized by the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
As a member of the City Mental Health Board and a medical professional himself, Rodriguez recognizes the value of mental health campaigns that help raise awareness, deepen public understanding, and strengthen community-based support systems.
He also extended his appreciation to all focal persons in attendance, commending their dedication and commitment to delivering essential services in their respective barangays.
Joining the activity was Councilor Paolo Gaane, co-chairperson of the Mental Health Board, who likewise conveyed his message of encouragement and support to the participants.
Key topics discussed during the training included basic intake interview, core helping skills, and suicide risk assessment. These were followed by an open forum and interactive discussions, enabling participants to further enhance their knowledge and share valuable insights. (JDO/SP)
