Moreno asks breakdown of JRBGH hemodialysis center lease rate
Updated: Aug 17
City Councilor Imee Rose P. Moreno, on Monday, sought clarification on the rental rate of the Hemodialysis Center at the J.R. Borja General Hospital (JRBGH), describing it as lucrative and asking for a detailed breakdown of the figures.
During the regular session of the 21st City Council presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, Moreno requested for data and details how the City arrived at leasing out the Hemodialysis Center at the monthly ₱540,000 rental rate.

Councilor Moreno emphasized the need for transparency and a clear presentation of the computation to allow the City Council to properly assess the terms and financial implications of the lease agreement.
Councilor Desiree Ann Dahino, however, clarified that the stated amount of the lease contract is exclusive of any additional charges. This means that other possible charges or expenses may be imposed separately under the agreement.
Meanwhile, Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas pointed out the importance of the facility to patients who regularly require dialysis treatment, noting that any delay in finalizing or implementing the contract could affect patients who are dependent on its services.
The City Council approved the legislative measure, with Councilor Moreno, abstaining from voting. (JBD/SP)
