Goking calls on organizations to unite, help those in need

COUNCILOR George S. Goking, chair of the City Council committee on trade and commerce and on ways and means is challenging all organizations to unite to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

The problem this time is not only health but it might be called an economic variant if not addressed, he stressed.

Councilor Goking said that he is hoping that organizations will continue to help people who need support. We need sustainability in order to survive, he stressed.

It can be recalled that during the Enhanced Community Quarantine, almost all establishments were closed and many employees lost their jobs.

A lot of people are suffering not only because of the health problems but because of economic difficulties, Goking said

The councilor said he is thankful that the quarantine classification of Cagayan de Oro has been downgraded to MECQ

He is urging the public to be self-disciplined and to strictly follow health protocols to stop the spread of the disease.
