MOA for SHS work immersions program OK’d

AN ordinance authorizing City Mayor Oscar Moreno to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement with Corpus Christi School for the implementation of DepEd’s Senior High School Program’s Work Immersion Partnership with the LGU was approved by the 18th City Council during its recent session presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy.


Under the MOA, the parties will create a working group that will prepare the action plan to operationalize the partnership; form a joint steering committee to monitor the progress of the partnership; develop the students’ work immersion module specifying goals and objectives, desired outcomes and how it will be achieved; provide an evaluation tool for the student’s performance; develop a work immersion daily schedule of activities that will be followed by the student; and formulate local school work policies and guidelines on selection, placement, monitoring and assessment.


The ordinance was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on education and on laws and rules, respectfully chaired by Councilors Suzette Magtajas-Daba and Ian Mark Nacaya. (EF)
