Committee of the Whole OKs budgets of various offices
THE 18th City Council Committee of the Whole headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy approved in principle the proposed budgets of various City Hall departments for 2018.
During Day 2 of budget deliberations presided over by Councilor Teodulfo E. Lao Friday, the legislative body tackled the proposed budgets of the City Chief Executive and its Auxiliary Programs.
These include the budgets intended for the City’s Augmentation for MASA and Police (P4.8 million), CDO Emergency Assistance (P2.4 M), Barangay Tanod Development Committee (P7.4 M), Barangay Assistance Center (P3.1 M) and Anti-Drug Abuse Program (P609,000).
Legislators also discussed the city’s aid to the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (P34.5 M), Cagayan de Oro Fire Distict (P8.2M), City Jail-Male Dormitory (P10M), City Jail-Female and Juvenile Dormitory (P1.4M) and to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Also approved in principle were the budgets of executive committees with a total amount of P24.3 million. Under the executive committees are the Regulatory and Complaint Board with a proposed budget of P2.3 million, Barangay Arbitration Board (P210,000), City Economic Enterprises Management Board (P300,000), among others.
Also approved in principle last week were the proposed budgets of the CDO Trade and Investment Promotions Center (P5.7M), Community Affairs Division (P21.9M), Community Improvement Division (P21.9M).
