COUNCILOR Jonjon Rodriguez announced the release of the Indigent Persons with Disability (PWD) social pension for the January–June 2025 budget, benefiting 2,500 qualified indigent PWDs in the city.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Rodriguez said the payout is scheduled on July 22, 2026, at the Barangay 40 Covered Court, where each beneficiary will receive ₱3,000, representing six months of financial assistance.

Rodriguez, chairperson of the City Council committee on social services, is instrumental in the efforts of expediting the release of the said financial assistance, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that the beneficiaries receive the support they deserve at the earliest possible time.

He thanked Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy, the 21st City Council led by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, and all concerned departments and offices for their collective efforts in making the social pension release possible. (JDO/SP)
