Tabac-led committee to deliberate on barangay measures

The City Council committee on barangay affairs will convene on Wednesday, October 1, to take up legislative measures of six barangay councils.
Committee chair Councilor Marlo Tabac said first on it agenda is Ordinance No. 05, series of 2021, of Barangay Cugman, which seeks to amend its 2016 ordinance on traffic regulation.
Also up for discussion are Barangay Nazareth’s ordinances on the prohibition of selling alcohol and cigarettes to minors and regulating sales near schools, on the renewal of its lease contracts with Smart Communications, Inc. and EDOTCO Towers, Inc.

Also included in the committee’s agenda are Barangay Macabalan’s amendatory ordinance of its Omnibus Tax Code and the an ordinance setting guidelines for the observance of funeral wakes (lamay).
Invited to the attend the meeting are the punong barangays of the concerned barangays, City Administrator Roy Hilario Raagas, City Legal Officer Atty. Kenneth Tamala, Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) chief Engr. Nonito Oclarit, and Engr. Armen A. Cuenca. (FDC/SP)
