In response to the pressing educational needs of students at Camaman-an Elementary School and National High School, the City Council committee on subdivision, housing development, and landed estate endorsed the use of a nearby lot as a temporary and makeshift classrooms.
This request comes as the school faces severe congestion and shortage of classroom space, hindering the learning process for its students.

During the meeting, Mr. Norman Felisilda, principal of the school, said the current facilities, which have been supporting a growing student population, are unable to accommodate the increasing number of students, leading to concerns among parents and teachers regarding the quality of education of the students.

It was learned that the recommended site for the temporary classrooms is adjacent to the school site where proposed school project will be constructed.
Dr. Alicia Anghay, focal person of Local School Board, said that as the LSB intends to build new school facilities, Macapaya School will temporarily be located in the identified property.

With this, Councilor Cabanlas, chair of the committee, referred to the committee on laws and rules for the Macapaya School to utilize the site for their temporary classrooms.
Councilors Aga Suan and Yvy Emano were also present during the meeting and moved for the approval of the said resolution. (JBD/SP)
