Suan elected chair of energy committee

Councilor Agapito Eriberto “Aga” G. Suan was elected as the new chairman of the City Council committee on energy.

This, after the 20th City Council during the regular session presided over by City Vice- Mayor Jocelyn “Bebot” Rodriguez adopted a resolution creating the committee on energy and the committee on fisheries and aquatic resources as standing committees.

The changes in the chairmanship of committees is part of the agreement among members of the City Council to share responsibilities so as to provide better services to the constituents.

The committee on energy shall study, investigate and report all matters or proposed ordinances or resolutions related to gas, electric and coal production, distribution and utilization, energy policy, energy regulation and conservation, energy research and development, among others.
