SP authorizes Mayor Uy to sign deed of usufruct for new CSC Bldg
The 21st City Council during its regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign the deed of usufruct with the Civil Service Commission (CSC)-Region 10.
This legislative action paves the way for the use of a portion of the city-owned property, as site of the CSC field office Misamis Oriental and Regional Office facility.
The approved ordinance grants the CSC the right to utilized a designated portion of city land for a period of 25 years.
This long-term agreement is intended to provide the commission with a stable and permanent location to conduct essential public service functions.
A usufruct is a legal arrangement that allows one person to use and profit from someone else's property, as long as they do not damage or destroy it.
The ordinance was sponsored by the committees on subdivision, housing development, and landed estate and on laws and rules both chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas. (JBD/SP)
