Pascual joins pickleball exhibition, promotes active lifestyle and camaraderie

City Councilor Juancho R. Pascual joined fellow city councilors and City Hall officials for an exhibition game at the kickoff of the first-ever Pikol ta Uy! City Hall Inter-Department Pickleball Tournament at the City Hall quadrangle on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The exhibition game led by Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy highlighted sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie while underscoring the importance of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle among city government employees.

Among the city officials who participated were Councilors Jonjon Rodriguez and Jing Daba, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation President Kenneth John Sacala, City Information Officer Jade Adeser, and several City Hall department heads.

Pickleball, which combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, has gained popularity as an accessible sport for people of different ages and fitness levels.

Through the inter-department tournament, the city government seeks to encourage employees to engage in recreational activities beyond their regular duties while fostering stronger relationships across offices.

“Dili lang serbisyo, sports pa! Mayor Klarex proves that leadership is also about staying healthy, active, and connected with the people. Tara, mag pickleball ta sa CDO!” Pascual said, encouraging Kagay-anons to embrace the sport and an active lifestyle. (PGU/SP)
