Moreno thanks DOLE livelihood program for Kagay-anons

CITY Councilor Imee Rose P. Moreno, on Monday, expressed her gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office 10 and DOLE-Cagayan de Oro Field Office for the turnover of livelihood projects to beneficiaries.
This as the lady councilor graced the turnover ceremony facilitated by the DOLE through its Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) to beneficiaries from Barangays Lapasan, Pigsag-an, Dansolihon, Camaman-an, Lumbia, Taglimao.

In an interview with The Gavel, Councilor Moreno said during the turnover ceremony, DOLE provided starter kits and livelihood assistance to the selected beneficiaries of some barangays.
“Usa kini ka programa nga naghatag oportunidad sa mga katawhan nga makasugod og gamay nga panginabuhian aron matabangan ilang tagsa-tagsa ka pamilya”, she stressed.
DILP, also known as the Kabuhayan Program, is a project designed to uplift the lives of the poor, vulnerable, and margenalized workers in the country.
By providing both financial assistance and trainings, it aims to support these individuals and groups in establishing new livelihood projects or enhancing existing ones.
The program is a comprehensive approach to help start-ups, expand or upgrade businesses, restore resources of income affected by disasters, and transform enterprises into sustainable community endeavors.
“This is true service for the people (aron) hatagan (sila) og oportunidad, suporta, ug paglaum”, said Councilor Moreno. (JBD/SP)
