Councilor Imee Rose P. Moreno is making a push to expand sports opportunities in the community, with a special focus on pickleball, a popular paddle sport she says can unite residents across generations.
The lady councilor, who advocates sport, spoke this week in her social media account about advocating sports of all kinds.
She emphasized not only physical health benefits but also getting more people and build friendship through sports.
She said if kids start young, future generation players can level up in a way that puts the city be recognized.
“It’s never too late to try the sport—but it’s never too early to try,” she emphasized.
According to Councilor Moreno, she joined the Philippine Pickleball Amateur Nationals and won a bronze medal.
“Gusto ko rin talaga na mapadala sa mga bata sa Cagayan de Oro, sa northern Mindanao, for the future generation of players to level up,” she opined. (JBD/SP)
