Moreno endorses MOA on GAD activities, projects

THE City Council committee on women and family relations chaired by Councilor Imee Rose P. Moreno recommended the approval of the request of Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) for the conduct of GAD activities.

It was learned that PCW will be sharing with the LGU technical assistance, especially on matters relating to gender mainstreaming and the implementation of the gender-responsiveness programs, activities, and projects. It also aims for collaboration and convergence with the city government to elevate gender responsiveness in local governance. The draft MOU was referred to the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas for appropriate action.
