Go joins Grandparents’ Day celebration at SM Downtown

Councilor Gilda O. Go, chairperson of the committee on senior citizens, joined the celebration of Grandparents’ Day held on August 13, 2026, at the Event Center of SM CDO Downtown Premier.

In a message posted on her Facebook page, Go described the occasion as a fitting tribute to grandparents whose unconditional love, wisdom, sacrifices, and life experiences continue to nurture families and contribute to stronger communities.

Go also conveyed her appreciation to NCSC Regional Director Mary Jean Asum; OSCA President Victor Lagang; NCSC-10 personnel led by Rey Aquistan and Ginger Pielago; President Pacita Dagbay; and the officers and members of the Socialization Group for helping make the celebration meaningful and memorable.

She likewise thanked the management of SM Downtown CDO for hosting the gathering and JCI Bai Lawanen for providing tokens for the participating grandparents.

Go called on everyone to uphold the dignity of senior citizens by continuing to honor, respect, and care for them not only during special occasions but every day. (JAO/SP)
