“This activity goes beyond tree planting. It is a call for unity, responsibility, and shared stewardship of our environment.”

Thus emphasized Councilor Gilda O. Go during the ASEZ WAO “Mother’s Forest” Tree Planting Activity conducted last week by the World Mission Society Church of God.

As a member of the City Council’s committee on environment, Go expressed her support for programs that encourage young people and local communities to participate in efforts on environmental conservation and climate action.

She said collaborative initiatives not only help restore natural resources but also reinforce the shared commitment of city residents to building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for succeeding generations.

ASEZ WAO, an acronym for “Save the Earth from A to Z” and “We Are One Family,” is a global volunteer organization composed of young adults dedicated to addressing environmental challenges.

Through its “Mother’s Forest” project, the group promotes tree-growing activities worldwide as part of its advocacy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help mitigate the impacts of climate change. (JAO/SP)
