The committee on education, chaired by Councilor Moreno “Jing” Daba IV, in its recent meeting, referred to the ways and means committee the proposed schedule of fees for the programs and courses offered by the Cagayan de Oro City College Office of Lifelong Learning and Professional Development.
During the meeting, it was suggested to include the complete context and detailed itemization of the program packages or specifications to ensure clarity and transparency in the implementation of the fees.
The Office of the City Administrator did not object to the proposal, citing the recommended rates are reasonable.
The Office of the City Legal Officer recommended the presentation of a summary of the program packages for reference.
It was also suggested that the college consider the accreditation requirements of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), including the corresponding costs associated with such accreditation.
The City Budget Office and the City Education Development Office (CEDO) likewise did not object to the proposed schedule of fees.
The said measure was favorably recommended by the Office of the City Mayor and the City College Governing Board. (JAO/SP)
