Daba graces Mindanao-wide National Teachers’ Month Kick-off

Councilor Jing Daba IV represented Mayor Rolando A. Uy at the Mindanao-wide Kick-Off Celebration of National Teachers’ Month 2026 last week, joining education officials, school leaders, and other stakeholders in honoring the country’s teaching workforce.

The celebration brought together Governor Henry Oaminal, Department of Education (DepEd) Undersecretary Atty. Gerard Chan, Assistant Secretary Cilette Ku, DepEd-10 Regional Director Ruth Fuentes, school heads, education leaders, partners in education, and other distinguished guests.

Carrying the theme “Teacher, Ikaw Naman,” the celebration highlighted the important contributions of teachers to the development of learners and communities, while providing an opportunity to recognize their dedication and service.

In representing Mayor Uy, Daba conveyed the City Government’s appreciation for the men and women in the teaching profession and joined fellow public officials and education stakeholders in extending recognition to teachers for their continuing commitment to education. (JAO/SP)
