CITY Councilor Des Dahino, chairperson of the committee on women and family relations, underscored the importance of responsible digital parenting during a recent seminar held at Iponan National High School.
The activity, conducted in partnership with the Evangelical Achiever’s Academy (EAA) and Virginia Foods, Inc., aimed to guide parents in managing their children’s exposure to online platforms and social media.
Councilor Dahino shared that, even before entering public service, she has always been passionate about parenting seminars, drawing from her experience as a registered psychometrician and as a mother.
She noted that her advocacy has since expanded to address the emerging digital challenges families face today.
“We must raise children who are not only kind and confident, but also digitally aware and responsible netizens,” Dahino emphasized. (SPE/SP)
