Council accredits CHAMSTODA

The 21st City Council adopted a resolution accrediting the CHAMSTODA, Incorporated for purposes of its membership in the city's local special bodies.


Pursuant to Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular No. 2025-060 and Article 64, Rule XIII of the Rules and Regulations Implementing the 1991 Local Government Code, the said measure was endorsed by the Committee on Planning, Research and Innovation and People's Organization Accreditation, chaired by Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez.


The accreditation recognizes CHAMSTODA, Inc. as a qualified people's organization that may actively participate in local governance and development planning through representation in local special bodies.


According to its organizational objectives, CHAMSTODA aims to uplift the living conditions and overall welfare of its members, protect and defend their common interests through mutual aid and assistance, and design and implement programs and activities that promote the welfare and development of its membership.


CHAMSTODA’s services and community initiatives include providing transport services, participating in barangay clean-up drives, serving as civilian peace and order volunteers, and conducting skills enhancement programs for its members. (JDO/SP)
