Collaboration in focus as Daba attends first LSB Meeting

COUNCILOR Moreno Y. Daba IV, chair of the City Council committee on education, attended his first meeting with the Local School Board (LSB), joining SchoolsDivision Superintendent Dr. Roy Angelo Gazo and fellow board members and stakeholders.

The meeting placed emphasis on the importance of synergy between the local government and the Department of Education (DepEd) in addressing challenges faced by schools, particularly in resource management, infrastructure, and support programs for teachers and students. 

Councilor Daba expressed his commitment to working closely with the board and education stakeholders to strengthen initiatives that will uplift the quality of education in Cagayan de Oro.

“As this is my first time to sit in the Local School Board meeting, I look forward to meaningful collaboration with Superintendent Dr. Gazo and all our educationpartners,” Councilor Daba shared in a post.

Daba assured that the City Council, through his committee, will continue to support measures that prioritize education as a cornerstone of the city’s development.
