The 21st City Council headed by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez has adopted the Annual Investment Program (AIP) for calendar year 2027, with a total of ₱20,014,387,107.00, strategically allocated across three major development sectors: general public services, social development, and economic development sectors.

Pursuant to the Local Government Code of 1991, the Local Development Council is mandated to formulate and recommend development plans and investment programs, including the AIP.

The adoption of the AIP serves as a guide for the city government in prioritizing programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) aimed at improving public services, promoting social welfare, and strengthening the local economy.

Approved by the City Development Council, the 2027 AIP reflects the city’s development priorities for 2027 and provides a framework for implementing initiatives that address residents' needs and support the city’s continued growth.

The 2027 AIP contains priorities and different strategies anchored to the city’s RISE development agenda, demonstrates the commitment of the city to pursue sustainable, inclusive, resilient, and responsive development through strategic and results-oriented public investments.

The AIP was reviewed and endorsed by the committee of the whole with Councilor Yan Lam Lim as chair of the committee on finance, budget, and appropriation. (JBD/SP)
