Cabanlas cmte Oks Special Patents of seven properties

THE City Council committee on subdivision and landed estate chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas has recommended to the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya the issuance of Special Patents covering seven properties owned by the city.

This, as City Mayor Oscar Moreno requested for authority in the filing of the applications with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for the issuance of special patents of the said lots.

The lands applied for are the lots occupied by the Office of Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR-10) with an area of 5,307 square meters; Macanhan, Carmen High School (5,696 square meters); and near DAR – Macanhan, Carmen (483 square meters).

Also included in the list are properties at Lumbia High School (15,492 square meters); Lumbia Elementary School (81,214 square meters); Tumpagon Elementary School (19,164 square meters); and Lumbia Barangay Hall (3,341 square meters).

Mayor Moreno informed the City Council that the Sanggunian authorization is one of the requirements for the city to finally secure the respective land titles over the said properties.
