Bayanga zoning proposal referred to CPDO for refinement

The committee on barangay affairs, chaired by Councilor Marlo L. Tabac, has referred to the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) the proposed ordinance of Barangay Bayanga seeking to institutionalize and divide its Poblacion into three zones.

The proposed measure aims to provide a more precise delineation of areas within the barangay to facilitate the accurate identification of residents and their specific needs.

It also seeks to enhance the delivery of basic services, strengthen peace and order initiatives, and improve disaster preparedness and response through the establishment of smaller, more manageable zones or purok.

During the committee's review, members noted that the proposed ordinance requires further refinement.

The CPDO was directed to submit its comments and recommendations to the Office of the City Legal Officer to ensure that the measure conforms with the City's Zoning Ordinance and existing policies on the adoption and establishment of sitio boundaries, among other relevant regulations. (JAO/SP)
