SP OKs 2019 budget of Brgy Camaman-an

THE 18th City Council on its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy adopted a resolution returning to the Barangay Council of Camaman-an its Ordinance No. 116, Series of 2018 covering its annual budget for 2019 with the information that the same is in order and may be given force and effect.


With an estimated income of P24,836,821, the barangay allocated P4.3 million, representing its 20-percent development fund, for the construction of Tanod and Civilian Volunteer Organization (CVO) outpost at Sitios Pag-asa, Bolonsori and Berjaya.


It shall also be utilized for the rehabilitation of its barangay hall, multi-purpose building at Sitio Tiera and its barangay roads.


Likewise to be funded are the re-gravelling of road at Sitios Berjaya and Sta. Cruz.


The barangay also earmarked funds for the construction of pathway at Sitios Pag-asa, Tipolohon, Paglantaw, Bontong, Cronin and Ramonal, among others.


Meanwhile, its 10-percent Sanggunian Kabataan fund in the amount of P2.4 million will be used for mandatory trainings, SK federation elections, equitable access to equality education, socio-cultural and sports development, youth capability building, environmental protection, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction and resiliency, youth employment and livelihood, anti-drug abuse program, among others.


Finally, the amount of P1.2 million, representing its five-percent Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund (BDRRMF), will be subdivided for its 30-percent Quick Response Fund and 70-percent BDRRMF in the amount of P372,357 and P868,834, respectively.


The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on barangay affairs and on laws and rules respectively chaired by Councilors Yan Lam S. Lim and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya. (SP/JAO)
