Ocon looks into ownership of property in Carmen

THE City Council committee on urban and rural poor chaired by Councilor Zaldy Ocon requested the 4th ID Philippine Army of Camp Evangelista, and the Altatiera Company to submit all documents and titles in their possession that will prove their rightful ownership over a property located at Zone 11, Barangay Carmen.

This is in response to the request of the Golden Boulevard Homeowners Association, Inc. for assistance to solve their problem regarding the lot they are currently occupying.

The Power learned that the 2.8-hectare property was titled under the name of Altatiera company, but it was also learned that the property is a military reserve pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 452.

A representative of the 4th ID said the lot has been encroached by the Altatiera and some structures constructed by occupants.

Councilor Ocon urged the military to solve the problem in the area and determine when they will use the said lot for the purpose.

He said the city needs to have ample time to help the homeowners association with their possible relocation. (SP/EF)
