Lao cmte acts on safety concern of Bulua dads

THE City Council committee on public utilities chaired by Councilor Teodulfo E. Lao, Jr. during its meeting Friday referred to the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) for study the concern of the Barangay Council of Bulua regarding 10-wheeler trucks that pass through Macapagal Drive.

According to the barangay official, several accidents already took place involving these trucks.

He said a truck loaded with sand and gravel allegedly bumped the barangay hall, and in another incident hit the Bulua Central School fence. A grade school pupil was also run over by a 10-wheeler truck, he added.

The barangay official expressed fears that more disastrous accidents may happen if the matter will not be addressed.

Councilor Lao asked the RTA to submit its recommendations on the matter in two weeks.(SP)
