Ocon acts on request of urban poor assn

THE City Council committee on urban and rural poor and housing development chaired by Councilor Ocon, during its recent meeting, tackled the request of the Acacia Village Association of Zone 8-B, Blue Barracks, Barangay Patag for assistance to negotiate with the owners of the lot they are occupying.

A representative of the City Housing and Urban Development Department (CHUDD) said the department can help relocate the association members. CHUDD is pro-relocation, he added.

Councilor Ocon endorsed the request to the CHUDD for further study on what the city government can do to help the association, with the approval of the city mayor. (EF)
