Request of Baungon transport groups up for study

VICE Mayor Rainier Joaquin V. Uy referred to the City Council committee on roads and traffic management chaired by Councilor Romeo V. Calizo for appropriate action, a copy of Municipal Resolution No. 2017-056 of Baungon, Bukidnon, endorsing to the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) resolutions of the Baungon Transport Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Baungon Transport Operators and Drivers Association. The transport groups are requesting for the retention of Carmen Market Terminal for public vehicles with hinterland routes.

The Power learned that public utility vehicles from Baungon occupy a portion of Carmen Market.

The proposed Comprehensive Integrated Traffic Management Plan of the city includes the clearing of the area public utility vehicles plying the hinterland, cited the associations.

According to them, the retention of the terminal bays will enable constituents of Baungon to have their personal and commercial livelihood considering that commercial establishments are situated in the periphery of Carmen Market.
