THROUGH a resolution, the 21st City Council headed by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez congratulated Engr. Wilson Egmilan Binamira, Jr. for ranking 3rd in the recent registered electrical engineering licensure examination.
The legislative body acknowledged Engr. Binamira’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence in the field of electrical engineering.
His achievement has also brought pride for the city, and further highlighted the excellence and competence of Cagayan de Oro’s aspiring engineers on a national level.
Engr. Binamira is a graduate from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP).
The resolution was sponsored by Councilor Yevonna Yacine B. Emano and all members of the City Council. (JBD/SP)
After deliberation and input sharing, the proposed comprehensive neurodevelopmental disorder training for frontline personnel ordinance, principally authored by Councilor Jonjon Rodriguez, has been approved at the committee level.
The measure seeks to require all malls across the city to provide appropriate training for security guards, cashiers, sales staff, and other customer-facing employees.
It will equip them knowledge and skills necessary to better understand and properly assist individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Through this initiative, Rodriguez, chair of the social services committee, continues to demonstrate his commitment to advancing policies that promote the welfare of all sectors of society – especially children and families who require additional support and understanding. (JDO/SP)
