Reclassification of land use endorsed by subdivision body
The request for reclassification of land use, from “agricultural” to “residential”, of a property in Barangay Baikingon was favorably endorsed by the City Council committee on subdivision and landed estate chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
The lot owned by T.S. Baikingon Corporation is identified as Lot No. 41294 with an area of 45,418 square meters. It is in a mountainous level and surrounded by residential developments such as Kisanlu Subdivision and Youngsville Subdivision.
It may be recalled that the committee conducted an ocular inspection and observed that a national highway project traverses the property which the Department of Public Works and Highways plan to open to the public.
This road project of the DPWH will connect to the portions of municipalities of Misamis Oriental bypassing the usual route of Butuan-CDO-Iligan road.
During the inspection, the technical team also found that the waterway will flow into the Bungkalalan River.
Councilor Cabanlas recommended the approval of the request and referred it to the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya for appropriate action.
