Members of the 21st City Council joined Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy, business leaders, policymakers, government officials, and other stakeholders gathered during the Cagayan de Oro Investment Forum and Mayor’s Night, held as part of the opening activities of the 35th Mindanao Business Conference (MinBizCon) in the city.
The event brought together key stakeholders from across Mindanao to strengthen partnerships, explore investment opportunities, and promote initiatives that support economic growth and development in the region.
This year’s three-day MinBizCon, held from August 11 to 13, 2026, at the Limketkai Atrium, featured an investors’ forum, trade fair, and plenary discussions on Mindanao’s economic pillars, geopolitics, climate, and tourism.
Cagayan de Oro served as this year’s host city, underscoring its growing stature as a regional center for business, trade, and investment, as reflected in its ranking as the 6th Most Competitive City in the Philippines.
The 21st City Council, under the leadership of Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, remains committed to fostering investment, entrepreneurship, job creation, and inclusive economic growth through strong collaboration with the private sector and other stakeholders.
The 35th MinBizCon was jointly organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. (Oro Chamber), Cagayan de Oro City Government, and the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA). (JDO/SP/Photos by Councilor Rodriguez FB page)
