Moreno elected member of social services, environment comm

COUNCILOR Imee Rose P. Moreno, on Monday, has been elected as additional member of both the City Council committees on social services and on environment.


This, after the 21st City Council during its regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, passed a resolution amending for the purpose Resolution No. 15422-2025 or the Committee Composition, pursuant to Section 15 of Resolution No. 15420-2025 or the Internal Rules of Procedure of the 21st City Council.


The chairperson of the committee on social services is Councilor Maximo T. Rodriguez III, with Councilor Paolo Nicolo Gaane, as vice-chair.

The other regular members of the committee are are Councilors Gilda Go, Juancho R. Pascual, and Moreno Y. Daba IV.


On the other hand, Councilor Enrico D. Salcedo is the chairperson of the committee on and environment, with Councilor Yan Lam Lim as vice chair, Councilors Gaane, Go, and Al Legaspi, Sr., members.


“I am honored to serve on these two important committees and look forward to working with my colleagues to develop innovative solutions that (will) benefit our entire community,” said Councilor Moreno.


It may be recalled that Councilor Moreno manifested during the inaugural session that she be given membership in other committees involving her advocacy.


“I survived my first term (with) no membership or chairmanship but what’s more difficult for me to accept nga bisan membership,” said Councilor Moreno after knowing that she has only two committee memberships, while Councilors Aga Suan and Yvy Emano were given four.


Councilor Moreno expressed appreciation that she was given two other committee memberships by the majority in addition to her membership in the committees on public works and on urban poor both chaired by Councilor Al Legaspi Sr. (JBD/Photo by JRG/SP)
