COUNCILOR Gilda O. Go, chair of the City Council committee on senior citizens, expressed full support for the launching of a new eye care initiative providing bladeless laser cataract surgery and other related services for senior citizens in the city.

The launching, held at a local medical facility at Ayala Centrio Mall, introduced advanced technologies for cataract screening and treatment designed to make eye care more accessible to the elderly. The PhilHealth-accredited program aims to provide affordable and high-quality medical services.

In her message, Councilor Go commended the initiative for supporting the city’s continuing efforts to promote the health, safety, and well-being of its elderly population.

“Our senior citizens deserve the best care possible, especially when it comes to their health and eyesight. We are glad to see medical partners investing in services that help improve their quality of life,” Go said.

Senior citizens seeking these services and corresponding discounts are encouraged to secure referrals from the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) to ensure proper coordination and assistance.

Councilor Go reaffirmed the City Council’s commitment to supporting programs that uphold the rights, welfare, and dignity of the city’s senior citizens. (JAO/SP/Photos from Councilor Go’s FB page)
