Gaane, City AIDS Council endorse HIV/AIDS prevention ordinance to Mayor Uy

City Councilor Paolo Nicolo Gaane and the Cagayan de Oro City AIDS Council endorsed to Mayor Rolando A. Uy the proposed ordinance for the city’s comprehensive Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) prevention and control program.

During the visit, Councilor Gaane expressed strong support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of proactive measures to curb the spread of HIV/AIDS and to promote awareness and education on the disease.

Mayor Uy warmly welcomed the endorsement, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to public health and safety. He assured the council of his full support for passing the ordinance and committing resources toward its successful implementation.

The proposed ordinance was endorsed to the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas for appropriate action. (JBD/SP)
