Daba inspires newly accepted city scholars during assembly

Thus, said Councilor Moreno Y. Daba IV in his inspirational message during the New Scholars’ Assembly for the newly accepted City Scholars for School Year 2026–2027.

The assembly gathered the new batch of city scholars as they formally embarked on their educational journey under the city’s scholarship program. The activity served as an orientation and welcome gathering to acquaint scholars with the opportunities, responsibilities, and expectations that accompany receiving the scholarship grant.

In his message, Daba congratulated the students for earning their place in the program and emphasized the importance of perseverance, discipline, and gratitude in achieving their goals. He encouraged the scholars to make the most of the educational assistance provided by the city government and to view their scholarship as both a privilege and a responsibility.

The councilor emphasized that education is a powerful instrument for personal growth, social progress, and community development. He urged the scholars to make the most of the opportunity entrusted to them, pursue their goals with dedication, and strive to become responsible and compassionate individuals who will contribute positively to society.

Moreover, Daba also reminded the scholars to remain committed to their studies despite challenges and to serve as role models to their peers through integrity, hard work, and dedication.
