Councilor Go to chair Senior Citizens comm

CITY COUNCILOR Gilda O. Go is the new chairperson of the City Council committee on senior citizens.

The lady councilor, known for her active involvement in social issues and her commitment to public service, expressed her enthusiasm on taking the new role, saying that seniors have contributed greatly to the development of the city. It is our duty to ensure they receive the support and services they deserve, she said.

The committee on senior citizens will study, investigate and report on all matters relating to the proper care and welfare of senior citizens, the aged, and the disadvantaged persons. Formulate measures, policies, and programs for their benefit.

Vice-chair of the committee is Councilor Roger G. Abaday, with Councilors George Christopher Q. Goking, Al P. Legaspi, Sr., Maximo T. Rodriguez III, as members. (JBD/SP)
